Hessert Chevy has the utmost passion for cars and our local community which is why we created Hessert Hugs as an extension of our current business. Big 9.81 Loves Our Kids Radiothon at Chop
Hessert Chevy Philadelphia and Hessert Chevrolet of Cherry Hill proudly participated in the BIG 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon for another year! We sat down with Coop from The Coop Show to discuss the importance of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Child Life Services Department and proudly donated $3,000! (December 2024)
Hessert Chevy’s Annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway Event!
We had a BLAST at our annual Back To School Backpack Giveaway event at Hessert Chevy! We gave away over four hundred backpacks full of school supplies, ate delicious pizza and ice cream! Bennett from the NEW 9.65 TDY kept us hyped throughout the event and we even gave away (2) concert tickets! Back to school time can be stressful and Hessert Chevy is proud to support the community to help get ready for the school year and have fun while doing it! Thanks to all who came out! (August 2024).
4th Annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway Event!
This weekend we celebrated back to school with our 4th Annual Back To School Backpack Giveaway Event! We gave over 400+ new backpacks full of school supplies away! The backpacks were filled with pens, pencils, erasers, folders, notebooks, and more essential items to help get the children ready to head back to school! Friends from all over joined us at Hessert Chevy to enjoy brand new backpacks, a pizza truck, ice cream truck, and more! Radio host Michael Bennett from 965 TDY helped keep us hyped and going throughout the event! It was a great day! (August, 2023)
Community Coat Drive at Hessert Chevy
Every year, Hessert Chevy joins the Auto Dealers Association CARing for Kids Foundation at the Philadelphia Convention Center to give away new winter coats to children in need. Since the event was canceled this year, we decided to host an event at our dealership! We gave away 380+ coats to children in need for the winter. It was a sunny fall day and where we had a Pizza Food Truck and beverages for employees and customers to enjoy throughout the event. Hessert Chevy is a proud member of the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia and we're proud to have hosted the coat drive at our dealership to support the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation. Back to School Backpack Giveaway!
The end of summer means it's time to get ready to go back to school! For the second time, Hessert Chevy found a way to give back to the community during this time. We hosted a Back To School event at the dealership where we gave away over 400+ backpacks full of essential school items including notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil case, and more! Community members came to fit their children for new backpacks and enjoyed a pizza food truck and ice cream! It was a beautiful day on Roosevelt Boulevard to bring our community together for children! (August, 2022)
Wogl’s Radiothon at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Back for our second year, Hessert Chevy was proud to participate in 9.81 WOGL Love Our Kids Radiothon at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia! For two days, WOGL sets up their radio station in the atrium at CHOP and interviews patients, families, and staff to hear their stories of courage and hope. Every donation during Radiothon goes to CHOP. Back for our second year, Hessert Chevy sat down with Nicky G to discuss the importance of getting involved in our community and giving back. Halloween Costume Giveaway!
This fall, Hessert Chevy wanted to give back to the community in a new way. We decided to throw a Halloween costume giveaway event where we gave out hundreds of children's Halloween costumes! We had a variety of children's costumes from princesses and fairies, to firefighters and superheroes! Hundreds of people came out and children were able to choose their Halloween costume. People then enjoyed beverages and pizza from a pizza food truck. It was a great day to give back to our community! (October 2021)
Hessert Chevy Open House!
What better way to celebrate summer than with hot dogs, ice cream, and Chevy's of course! Hessert Chevy celebrated summer with a carnival themed Open House on Saturday, August 10th for our neighbors, friends, and employees! Local radio station, 9.65 TDY brought their team out and had great music playing and there were fun games all day! Wee had great food from J-dogs catering and activities like a face painter, inflatable basketball, and ring toss! (August 2019)
Giving Back at Mayfair Elementary School!
As the new school year began, Hessert Chevy wanted to give back to a local school. Hessert Chevy donated a class set of instruments to the music department at Mayfair Elementary School! One of the first things that is typically affected when making budget cuts in school is the music department, and we feel it's very important to give students the ability to explore their creativity in music. On September 17th, Hessert Chevy teamed up with Entercom radio station, B101 with DJ Mark Shepperd, and the Philly Pops, to bring a day of music to the Philadelphia school! Activities were provided by the local radio station and their mascot, Buzz Bee! Live music was played throughout the event by the Philly Pops. The excitement had over 300 third graders running around the gymnasium all morning! (September 2019)
September 5: 400+ Backpacks for Students in Philadelphia
Hessert Chevrolet hosted a Community Day on Saturday September 5th where team members helped assemble bags of essential school items for children. Cradles to Crayons provides children living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school, and at play. Supplies included folders, notebooks, rulers, crayons, and more. We had "Stuff The Bag Stations" where employees helped assemble the backpacks, and also "Note Making Stations' where we created handwritten notes to include in each backpack. We will also had a Pizza Food Truck and beverages for employees and customers to enjoy throughout the event.We donated over 400 backpacks full school supplies to Cradles to Crayons for children in the Philadelphia area. Bowling for Kids Sake!
Hessert Chevy was a sponsor of this years Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids Sake event on Sunday, October 20th at Laurels Lanes in Maple Shades. This event was a great celebration to raise funds and highlight the organizations goal to serve more children! The family friendly brought together the Hessert Chevy team, friends, and family to enjoy an afternoon of bowling, games, and treats! (October 2020)
Driving Away the Cold!
Hessert Chevy teamed up with the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation to provide new winter coats to children from local Philadelphia schools. Buses loaded in hundreds of children from local Schools to the Pennsylvania Convention Center where Hessert Chevy and other local dealers fitted children with brand new winter coats. 1 in 6 children in Philadelphia lives in poverty, without daily essentials like a warm winter coat. In 2019, the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation will donate over 50,000 new coats, bringing their total to over 400,000 coats that the foundation has given away! (October 2018)
